About Enclosed Auto Transport
Enclosed transport moves your vehicle inside a hard-sided trailer with a hydraulic lift gate and soft tie-downs. There is no exposure to rain, salt, hail, or road debris, and most enclosed trailers carry only two to six vehicles, so there is far less handling. It is the standard choice for classics, exotics, low-clearance sports cars, show cars, and anything with a value that makes the extra cost irrelevant.

How much does enclosed transport cost?
Add $500 to the open-carrier estimate our calculator returns. That surcharge is the same on a 400-mile move as it is coast to coast.
Do I need enclosed transport?
Consider it if the vehicle is a classic, an exotic, has custom paint, sits under five inches of ground clearance, or is worth more than about $70,000. For everything else open transport is the practical choice.
Are enclosed carriers slower?
Pickup windows can run a few days longer because there are fewer enclosed trailers on the road. Transit time once loaded is the same.
